- Opposites attract. :) Fire and Water, Yin and Yang (they even fought in the Oasis with the Tui and La fish!). Also, their personalities can balance eachother.
- Hey, in The Fortuneteller, Katara is said to marry a powerful bender. Zuko's pretty powerful, too!
- Aang is just a goofy little kid. Katara needs somebody older and more mature.
- Katara could turn him to the good side. We already know that Zuko isn't evil at heart; he definitely has good-guy potential.
- Zuko wasn't very hard on Katara during her interrogation (The Waterbending Scroll). He could have used fire and tortured her. But instead he said, "Try to understand"!!
- And he wasn't nice to her JUST because she was a girl. Was he nice to the Warriers of Kyoshi? No! Was he nice to Jun? No! So far, the only girl we have seen him being nice to is Katara.
- Maybe Zuko enjoyed that interrogation, and he liked getting close to her face and whispering into her ear.... ^.^
- Katara might not like Zuko now, but what will she think if she heard that Zuko saved Aang's life in The Blue Spirit? Or when she finds out about his tragic past? (If you haven't noticed, Katara has a thing for guys with tragic pasts... ;D )
- Katara is the hopeful one, the one who saves lost causes. (How many times has somebody said that Katara brought them hope?) She would try her hardest to make Zuko come to the “light side.”
- While opposites attract, they also have a lot in common, as they both had to mature quickly. Zuko grew up with the stress and burden of training to be a prince, plus the whole exile thing and losing his mother. Katara had to support her brother and help a lot with the whole tribe, and dealt with the loss of her mother and her father's leaving.
- Zuko has scars, and a lot of people think Katara could heal them... Both physically and emotionally.
- Zuko knows that Katara would do anything to save Aang. But during "The Siege of the North" he could have done more damage to her after she was knocked unconscious, but he decides not to.
- In “The Blue Spirit” Katara gets a crown, and Sokka calls her "your highness." The crown also had dragons on it, which are common Fire Nation symbols. This could be foreshadowing for the future Fire Queen!
- Zuko never objected when Jun called Katara his girlfriend!
- If Zuko and Katara married, it could be like a peace treaty that ended the war or something. ^^
- Aang told Katara (teasingly), "Zuko wanted me to give this to you... *hands necklace*" and Katara said, "Ohh, how sweet of him. Could you give him a kiss for me, next time you see him?" That could be her way of hiding her true feelings! Or foreshadowing!
- Zuko tied Katara to a tree... only her upper body. Don't you think she could've head butted him, kicked him, or been more smart-mouthy? But, she wasn't...
- How did Zuko know the necklace was hers? He must have paid her some attention when he had seen her, hmm?
- The legend of Omashu could foreshadow Zutara: Oma and Shu were from enemy villages and Katara and Zuko are from enemy nations!
- He defended the Earth Kingdom Town from the mean soldiers to rescue Lee, so he does know the meaning of honesty, courage, etc. and would sooner or later show them. So he could go to the good side, and then hook up with Katara.
- Now that he's wanted by his own nation, there's a strong possibility that he'll befriend Aang. And then hook up with Katara.
- Katara offered to heal Iroh in "The Chase"!
- The part where Aang's gang and Zuko team up to fight Zula could foreshadow Zuko becoming a good guy. Then he and Katara could fall in love!
- In Bitter Work, as Iroh explains how he learned a technique from the Waterbenders, Zuko looks away with a slight smile on his face. Perhaps he's thinking of a certain blue-eyed Waterbender...? ;)
- It's very likely that Zuko will teach Aang Firebending!! Then while they do that, he and Katara could fall in love.
- If Katara can help Aang with his Avatar state rage issues then she can help Zuko. She knows what it feels like...not having a father or mother around...etc.
- Katara defended Zuko's ponytail in "The Chase"!
- When Jun said that Katara was Zuko's girlfriend he didn't correct her. But when the waiter guy called Jen Zuko's girlfriend, he corrected him, harshly!
- Iroh called Water the element of change, that could be foreshadowing for Katara could change her mind about Aang, or find Zuko as a friend instead of enemy.
- Katara was willing to use her tiny bit of spirit oasis on his scar, when she was saving it for a special occasion.
- Zuko didn't let Song touch his scar, but he did let Katara!!!
- Not only was Katara touching his scar, but his lips too! Look! A very intimate gesture from one 'enemy' to another. ;)
- In Crossroads of Destiny, when Katara was about to leave with Aang, she gave a meaningful glance back at Zuko. It was as if she didn’t want to leave him.
- Zuko didn’t seem too sure about his decision about changing sides. Maybe he feels guilty for betraying Katara.
- If Katara can calm Aang in his avatar state she can probably calm Zuko in his rage.
- Even though Katara and Zuko are supposed to be enemies, she told him about her mother. They were pretty open to each other, considering they're enemies.
- In "Bato of the Water Tribe," when they're breaking into the convent, Zuko reached down and grabbed Katara to keep her from falling off the Shirshu!!
|
- They're enemies for crying out loud!!
- It's so obvious that Katara will fall in love with Aang, not Zuko! Just look at all the hugging/kissing moments in the episodes!
- If Katara and Zuko hooked up, the show would get like a soap opera. xP Come on, isn't that so dramatic and lame? Romeo and Juliet? xD
- Not only would Sokka throw a fit if they got together, but Aang's heart would be broken. =(
- Zuko — relationship?! Are you nuts? He's got too many other problems on his hands. Besides capturing the Avatar, now he's on the run from the Fire Nation, and trying to deal with his own emotions and loyalties.
- Uh, he tied her to a tree! I wouldn't want my boyfriend to do that to me...
- If you think Zuko was "nice" to her in "The Waterbending Scroll," it's because he doesn't want to hit a girl. (The warriors of Kyoshi don't count --- they're warriors. Katara was helpless and tied up. Just like he didn't burn Zhao's face off when he could've in "The Southern Air Temple.")
- In "The Waterbending Scroll," he wouldn't hurt her even if she was a boy! Zuko isn't that type of person.
- Zuko wasn't being nice to Katara during the interrogation, he was trying to sweet-talk information out of her!
- Plus, that "I didn't steal it, if that's what you're wondering" comment during the interrogation did have some bite to it.
- You can't just make a person change that easily. Katara wouldn't be able to change Zuko. It would take years and years for anyone to heal all the pain in his past.
- The only real way a relationship could form between the two is if Zuko joined the gang or Katara left the gang. In order to be together, they would have to reject their family, friends, nation, home, and loyalty.
- If either one of them "secretly liked each other," I don't really think they would have tried to beat each other up as hard as they did in "The Siege of the North."
- In "the Siege of the North," when Aang and the gang were going to leave Prince Zuko to die in the frozen tundra of the North Pole, Katara didn't say anything. Aang did.
- Sokka was delusional when he called Katara "your highness" — there was no Fire queen foreshadowing!!!
